Car Cards

I have these dies from Marianne.
They are a lot of fun.
The word dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs.
The map papers are from a Paper Studio mat stack.

Thank You Card

I began with a plain white card base.
The pink is polished stone, which always looks
better in person.  It is layered over black
and that is cut to a narrow border using my
layering rulers.
The thank you is cut from black card stock
using a Cheery Lynn Designs die.

Puppy Update

Now 9 weeks old and getting busier by the day.
They now prefer to do their business outside.
Available for adoption.
Have had their first parvo shot.
On puppy chow and relatively pad trained.
That means their nose might be over the pad
but their rear ends may not.
But at least they have the general idea.

Things they have learned -
munching on the cats tail is dangerous
howling gets dad up
Pixie (the mother) can get very cranky if you chew on her tail
stairs are not as hard as we first thought
BUT the up part of stairs is way easier than the down part
snow is fun

Male Birthday Card

It's perfect for my Harley riding brother-in-law.
The motorcycle die is from Marianne and the
phrase from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I love the Cheery Lynn word dies.
The happy and birthday have to be ordered separately,
BUT each word or phrase come in two sizes.
The words here are the small size.

The map paper is from Paper Studio's
Uncharted mat stack.
I did some heavy sponging around the edges.

Over Run

When I got up this  morning I happened to glance out
the sliding glass doors to the snow covered wheat field
that is about 1/2 mile south of our house.
It was covered with ELK.
They are vermin, rats of the hill country.
My estimated count it around 66 head, give or take a few.
These nasty creatures are devastating out wheat field.
They paw through the snow and literally dig out the
wheat plants and eat them.
Deer will merely paw through the
snow and nibble off the top of the wheat plant.
We are in no way compensated for feeding these unwanted
elk through the winter and are not even given ONE
hunting permit so we at least have some meat.
They are Game and Parks elk so Game and Parks
should feed them.
OK, rant over.

Quick Birthday Card

The card base was die cut using Sizzix Movers & Shapers L
Diamond Flip It.
This is a thick die, not the thin wafer that I usually use.
The finished card is 5 x 5 inches.
Above is the card partially unfolded
using the front view.
This view (above) shows the flip side of the diamond
where I would write my greeting.
